Port Elizabeth

Port Elizabeth is a major port for South Africa located almost where the Atlantic and
Indian oceans meet. With about 740,000 people, the largest ethnic group is Xhosa, most
of whom speak that in the home. A good proportion of the Xhosa also speak Afrikaans in
the home. Only about 12% of the people are native English speakers, although English
is widely spoken throughout the city as an inter-ethnic language. English is pervasive
throughout the entire country. Port Elizabeth is quite attractive with great scenery.
